What to do when the payment renewal failed error occurs?

“Subscription not renewed/unsuccessful as the payment with the current credit card was declined”

This notification normally appears (like the figure shown below), when we aren't able to process or renew your existing plan with the credit card information provided by you.

This can happen for several reasons,for instance, when we try to receive/debit a charge from the credit card that you may have provided while registration, the bank might not process the same for a number of reasons such as insufficient fund, or if any information such as the card name, card information, expiration date or even if CVV number provided to us whilst registration doesn't match the current bank details.

Automated systems also tend to sometimes throw a glitch while trying to process the payment from our end.

It isn't necessary that once accepted cards will not be declined on other online platforms or webshops. This happens due to the bank systems’ strict security features to protect the cardholders fragile information and to ward off any possible kind of risk/fraudulence for the cardholder.

Steps to be taken

  • Step 1 : Go to payment settings and try deleting the current card from your freeicons account and reading it as this might fix the issue. After reading the card, you may try subscribing once again, as this should fix the issue.

    However, if this doesn't seem to work, go to step No 2.

  • Step 2 : Try having a word with the customer care centre of your bank to cross-check if they are withholding the payment to freeicons for any anonymous reasons.

Downloading icons in order to collect them for future use is not permissible. Sharing your account with other teammates is also not entertained. You are always allowed to add teammates to your subscription. We would, therefore, advise you to read about Team plans, to have a clearer picture of the same.
